Friday Favorites: Laura Mercier Blush, Trader Joe's Body Butter, Good Cuticle Remover, Spring Plants and Galaxy 4 Watch

Ahhhhh Happy Friday Besties! I am back from a little hiatus. The past few weeks have been a little busy and I have had some major dental work done these past few weeks. Nothing too serious, but things that will be Better in the long run for my health and cosmetically.

We are also sprinting towards the end of school and also had a mouse or two in our house. Today I am linking up with Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites. I have all the fun spring things like a new blush from Laura Mercier, a yummy body butter from Trader Joe's, a really Good cuticle remover, my spring flowers and my new Galaxy 4 watch. Join me today as I jump back into Friday Favorites and coast towards the weekend.

1. Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer Blush

One very fun aspect of writing a column like Good Better Best is that I often receive products to try and review. I was recently sent the brand spanking new Tinted Moisturizer Blush by Laura Mercier. This is a delightful product.

The colors I was sent to try were Provence and Coastline. Provence is a lovely soft pink and Coastline is a warmer cappucino color. I have never been a cream blush person and always worry that a new product is going to break me out. Well, this product changed all of that. The result is much softer and natural than a powder blush, especially after it sits for a few minutes. The colors are buildable and easy to blend out.

The one thing is that it does take a few applications to get a hang of it. Laura Mercier says that the product is Best when applied with fingertips but I found a flat foundation brush to work Better. The foundation brushes made it easier for me to blend the product and give a Good finish. If you need a flat foundation brush below are two options I found at two different price points.

2. Trader Joe's Coconut Body Butter

I am really loving the Coconut Body Butter from Trader Joe's. This is a really delightful product. It is super moisturizing without being greasy. It has a scent of a coconut cream pie without being too strong. Like most Trader Joe's products, it is quality at Good price point. Try this out if you want a Good summer body butter.

3. Olive and June Cuticle Remover

I have pretty stubborn cuticles and started using the Olive and June Cuticle Remover recently and think it is a winner. It makes it really easy to push back your cuticles without having to clip. This is pretty much the Best cuticle remover I have used so far.

4. Spring Flowers

The spring flowers in our yard are bringing me Joy. While there are sections in our yard that need work, ok a lot of work, there are parts of the yard and planters that look really Good. We even have a new fig tree that is native to Mount Vernon. It's all a lot of work but it is totally worth it.

Here are a few highlights of what is working in our yard.

Fig tree

Small planter for the patio

Iris in the front yard

Patio tomatoes and planters

Cherry tomatoes and planter

My advice on gardening, put it in the ground and see what happens. Once you know what works for you yard, like the iris, marigold and pansies above, stick with it.

5. Galaxy 4 Watch

Galaxy 4 watch

This month I treated myself to a new Galaxy 4 watch. I think I over changed my last Galaxy watch and burned out the battery. The never version is super light and I am loving it. Do you see how I could monogram this watch face?

What I love about the Galaxy watches is that it looks more like a regular watch and it is more blingy than many of its other counterparts. It has great functionality and also great style.

I am so looking forward to a little fun and a little rest this weekend. I will be back next week with Monthly Musings topics on Monday with Holly, What's Up Wednesday, Monthly Musings on Thursday and possibly another Friday Favorites to round out next week.

    1. Thanks Holly. We actually purchased the fig tree at the Mount Vernon estate plant sale. Fig trees are indigenous to this area. We were told by the two horticulturists that work there that they are fairly easy to grow, they just need tons of sun. In the few short weeks we have had it it has grown some and I can see little fig buds starting to form.

  2. Your spring flowers look so pretty. The Laura Mercier tinted blush looks good. I'm always on the lookout for a tinted moisturiser that's suits my skin tone. I'll have to give it a try.
