Friday Favorites April 8, 2021-Best Pajamas, Bad Vegan, Best Grilled Chicken, Ant Remedies and Acupunture

Hey, hey Besties!  It has been raining almost all week. I know, I know "May flowers" blah blah blah. I am so ready for spring!

Today I am back and linking up with  Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites. Rounding out my birthday week today and sharing the little things in life that are bringing me Joy

1. Soma Cool Nights Pajamas

I mentioned last month that I finally tried the Cool Nights pajamas from Soma, and then quickly purchased five more pairs. I am not joking. The fabric is just the Best and I really think it is helping my sleep patterns, more on that below. I honestly think these might be the only pajamas that I wear from now on.

If you want to try them you can use my link and you can save $15 on your first order. You can use the link here:

2. Bad Vegan

I am usually way behind the curve on these things but I did just start Bad Vegan on Netflix. So far this is pretty interesting and I cannot figure out if she was in on this.

Are you watching this one? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

3. Fresh Additions Chicken Breast Bites

Running Daddy and I eat a lot of precooked chicken breast strips. It is something we have switched over to from cold cuts over the last year. With our schedule it is super easy to add to a salad, some pasta or put on a sandwich.

I found these chicken breast bites at Costco a few weeks ago and they are so Good. The Best part is that they are pre-portioned and come in small packages that you can take along with you. They are great for busy spring schedules.

This week I have had them on risotto, quinoa bowls and with tomato mozzarella. This is something that will be on my Costco standard list from now on.

4. Ant Remedies

Ok, Besties, this is not so glamorous but this time of year we typically have an ant problem in the Good Better Best household. It causes a lot of angst and frustration but last spring we finally figured out the Best remedy to deal with the ants and in a green way.

Apparently, ants hate mint, so we have found two products that help deal with the ants but without chemicals.

The Aunt Fannie's Ant Remedy will help kill those little buggers. Just spray right on them and wait a few seconds. They will be dead! I then just wipe with water and a paper towel.

To keep the ants away, I have found that the Mrs. Meyer's Multi Surface Spray in Mint really helps keep the ants out of the kitchen. It smells clean and not like gross bug spray. When we are keeping on top of things these two products really do the trick.

I get both of these products through Grove Collaborative and they drop all of this Goodness on my doorstep. If you have not tried these products yet or tried Grove you can join Grove and get a free gift set. I was literally hooked from day one. You can check it all out here

5. Acupuncture

I may get into more of this in a future post but about a month ago I started acupuncture for stress, anxiety and trouble sleeping. I know I try to stay positive all the time but the last few months were really getting to me and I had to do something. Running Daddy says I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders and that I don't need to. Oh that man is so Good for me.

I did acupuncture when I was pregnant for morning sickness, more like all day sickness, and it was the only thing that worked for me. A friend that I know well mentioned that she had some anxiety and had not slept well in over a decade. She said that she did acupuncture for all of this and that it helped so much.

I am about four sessions in and it really is working for me. It does not hurt, I promise, and I am a person that does not like needles. After my first session I went home and took an almost three hour nap. That is some energy that is balancing out!

If you want to know more, feel free to message me. I am not a doctor but I do think this is helping me.

I need to run as we have a very full weekend. I hope the sun is out where you are. Have the Best weekend!

  3. Ooh, the acupuncture is intriguing! My sleep and anxiety have been all over the place, and I've tried a lot of things, but never acupuncture. (I don't like needles either!)
