Friday Favorites March 18-Lenten Challenge Update, Sleep Pillow Spray, Spring Statement Earrings, a Good Podcast and Flawless Moisturizer

Hey hey Besties! Are you ready for the weekend? I know I am. I have been away from this space for a few weeks due to some work commitments and now I am trying to catch up on all of the things. As I try to do on most Fridays, I am linking up with  Erika and Andrea for Friday Favorites. Settle in on this early spring day for the little things in life that are bringing me Joy

1. Forty Miles in Forty Days Lenten Challenge

While I am not as far along on this challenge as I would like to be, I am really enjoying all aspects of the Forty Miles in Forty Days Lenten Challenge. I have some catching up to do on my mileage over the weekend but year two of this lenten project is even Better than the first.

We have over 75 people in the Facebook Group  and I love seeing the posts of how people are incorporating this into their daily lives. Beautiful early morning posts from runs up to church, to walks in tropical locations, to walking dogs while saying the rosary this challenge is really becoming part of people's lives.

Much like our faith journeys, this challenge is all about progress not perfection. There is still time to join us if you are interested and your original lenten plan is not working out for you. You can find out more about Forty Miles in Forty Days here.

2. Bath & Body Works Lavender Pillow Spray

My friend gave me this pillow spray as a gift. I am not sure if it is a placebo effect or not, but Running Daddy and I really think that this works. I am not a great sleeper, but since we have been using this for around a month we have been sleeping much Better. I will definitely be buying this in the future. In fact, I may buy it by the caseload!

3. Statement Earrings for Spring

These Samantha statement earrings are the perfect way to jump into spring, even when the weather is not cooperating. They are a medium weight and really go with almost anything.  The Best part is that the drop comes off and you can wear the top part as a stud earring for a totally different look.

I wore these with a black jacket last week but I can totally see these in vacation mode with a Lilly dress. These give you the pop of a statement earring while keeping things professional.

4. Literally with Rob Lowe-Valerie Bertinelli guest

I mentioned before that I really like Rob Lowe's podcast. He is a really Good storyteller and interviewer. I always find his time in superstardom a really fascinating time and that might just be because I was in high school and college when he was at his height of fame. I was never a big fan of his when I was young, but I so appreciate sober, grown-up Rob Lowe.

Recently he interview Valerie Bertinelli and this was a Good one. She is truly delightful and nothing short of honest. They both tell great stories and seem to have a lovely rapport. If you need a podcast and are a kid of the 1980's, check this one out.

5. Ever Flawless Soft Focus Daytime Moisturizer

One of the Best things about being a Stella & Dot Ambassador is all of the products I get to try. The Flawless Soft Focus moisturizer is a product that I needed to come around to, this is basically because I was not using it correctly at first.

I typically just use tinted Daylight and skip any other type of moisturizer because I am all about the SPF. This week I started adding in Flawless before Daylight or before my foundation and the results are so Good. It gives a total airbrushed look when used with the other products. Definitely an option on those days you need to be Zoom ready or for when you are back in the wild!

I hope you have the Best weekend and I should be back next week!

  2. Oh I bet I would LOVE Rob's podcast-- I just listened to his book on CD last month and really enjoyed listening to him every day. I was so sad when I quickly found myself on his last chapter.
