Monthly Musings: February 2021 Valentine's/Love

Happy Thursday Besties! I am so glad to welcome you to year two of Monthly Musings with Holly and Patty. We have such fun hosting this monthly link up and reading everyone's answers to our fun questions. This month we are talking all things Valentine's and love. Pour a coffee, a glass of wine or a hot cider and settle in for Monthly Musings for January.

1) How Do You Show Love? What is Your Love Language?

I think mine is acts of service, but those of you who know more about this tell me what you think. I will often make cookies or brownies to show someone I care. I will also take Hockey Guy for a Starbucks when he has had a busy week at school. Is that gifts or acts of service?

2) Do You Have any Fun Valentine's Traditions?

We usually do small gifts, cards and treats on Valentine's Day and we always do this during breakfast.

3) Favorite Valentine's Memory?

One year when Hockey Guy was in second or third grade, I had a business trip to Disney and was able to bring Running Daddy and Hockey Guy. We didn't tell Hockey Guy that we were going in advance but I did make all of his Valentine's gifts and treats Disney themed. We then told him to get dressed and get his shoes on because we were going to Disney that day.

4) Favorite Valentine's Treat?

I am a chocolate girl all the way.

5) Do you wear Valentine's Day Fashions?

Not typical Valentine's fashions, but I will wear red or pink. This year I will probably go with pink and wear this cute puff sleeve top.

6) Valentine's Day...love, like or hard pass?

I like Valentine's Day. I like to do something small and just have a little fun day.

7) What Do You Think is the Most Romantic Song?

Ok, this was one of my questions but this is a toughie! I think that probably "Love, Look What You've Done to Me" by Boz Scaggs is the most romantic song. I will probably think of a Better one this weekend that I should have posted. I want people to weigh in on this one in the comments section please!

8) Dine Out, Take Out or Cook In this Valentine's Day?

Most likely take out. I really don't see me dining out during the pandemic any time soon.

9) Pink or Red?

I am all about the pink, on Valentine's Day and most days.

10) Flowers or Chocolates?

Well, I would personally love both!

Thanks for joining us today. If you also blogged for Monthly Musings the link up is below. Holly and I love when you link up with us but please, keep your link ups on topic.

The schedule and our new graphic is also below so please include those too!

    1. It was a very fun Valentine's Day. We had a late morning flight so it was easy to pull off. I am clunking my way through our graphics and making it work. So glad to be on this journey with you. You are always so supportive and laid back. XOXOXXO

  3. Oh, that is the sweetest Valentines' memory ever! And I can't weigh in on your song because I don't know it. I'll have to go listen to it and report back :) And I can't decide if your love language is acts of service or gifts either. I don't know enough about them but to me that sounds like both.

  6. You know, I am not sure there is one most romantic song I could pick..depends on what kind of mood I'm in...I love Adele's version of "To Make You Feel My Love" I also love the song from Sister Hazel, "This Kind of Love"...and I'm sure once I read other readers suggestions, I would say.."Oh yeah, that one too!"
Thank you for the post, I also went to look up your song. Happy Valentine's! What sweet memories!
