Monthly Musings: Spring and Summer Fashion

Hey Besties, I hope everyone is healthy and safe. We have made it to the end of April! Thank you for joining Holly and me for Monthly Musings today. Today we are talking Spring and Summer Fashion and I think we need a little distraction don't we? Let's take a break, dive in and talk about pretty things.

1) What are your five must have items for spring and summer?

One- A great pair of white jeans. Perfect for work or play.

Two-A classic pair of Jack Roger's sandals in a neutral.

Three-A Lilly shift dress. Always my favorite.

Four-Oka-B Slides. I love Oka-B. They are made in the USA and so comfortable. I truly believe they help my plantar fasciitis.

Five-A Good tunic. Great for dinner, drinks and even business casual.

2) What is your favorite spring and summer footwear?

Loving my Jacks and Oka-Bs!

3) How do you transition your wardrobe from winter to spring? Spring to summer?

Slowly...because our springs can be cool and wet, like the one we are having now, I start to slowly move clothing items out of my closet and into storage bags. I then start to move items for warmer weather into my wardrobe. It's a long process and there is no magic to it.

4) Favorite Colors to wear this season?

I am such a pink girl all year long. I also love turquoise and think it looks Good on everyone.

5) Do you like Lilly Pulitzer like we do? What are your favorite prints?

Lilly is my favorite. I still remember my first print and it was called Dotty Dolphin. That's not my dress but that is the print.

6) White jeans...wait until Easter? Wait until Memorial Day? Any time of the year?

It took me a while to warm up to white jeans but now I love them. It's hard for me because I am from New England so I would typically wait until after Memorial Day for white in the past. Now I live below the Mason Dixon line so now I am gravitating towards until after Easter. I started wearing my white jeans in early April this year.

7) What are your must wear items during stay at home orders?

I am all about jeans and cargo pants with some really fun tops. I so mix in a little athleisure here and there. The main thing is that that I try to get dressed every day during the work week. You can learn more about my Get Dressed Challenge here. I hope you can join us and I am about to throw in some fun giveaways so keep a look out for that.

8) Which do you prefer? Maxi dress or romper?

Honestly, I don't wear either one! I think they look cute on other people but not on me.

9) Flip flops or wedge espadrille?

Don't make me choose, I love them both.

10) Random bonus question: How many loaves of banana bread have you made this month? Do you have a favorite recipe?

I have made two this month. Still trying to find a Good one. I am going to try one recipe from my friend Brooke and try to adapt it as gluten free. It has sour cream in it and sour cream usually makes baked Goods Better.

That's what Holly and I have for you this month. If you are joining us in Monthly Musings this month the link is below. If you link up, please try to visit other bloggers and comment on their page. If you are a reader, you may find some other really Good blogs below.
