Friday Favorites: Best Sale Finds, Smoothies, and the Best Moment in Bachelorette History

Oh Friday. At some points this week I thought you might never get here. See that sweet picture above, that is really what I am hoping to be doing this weekend. Well that and getting back to Barre3 with some modifications after my ankle injury which was ten weeks ago. It's Friday and linking up with Erika, Andrea, Narci to chat about the things that are bringing me Joy this week.

1) Terry Faux Wrap Sweatshirt

One of the many Good things about the Nordstrom sale is that so many other retailers have sales during this time. I usually love the Nordstrom sale but was not overly wowed this time. I got some really good jeans last year that I love and a few other items, but the only thing I bought this year was the Zella cropped leggings. 


What I did find that I am totally in love with is the terry faux wrap sweatshirt from Old Navy. I bought it in both the blue and black and when it arrived it totally exceeded my expectations. It is really Good with leggings or sweats and also with the drawstring poplin pants below for a dressier casual look. The weather the past couple of days has not been melt your face off like it was last week so this is the perfect layer when I get home from work. I think I am going to be living in these come early fall.

I only showed the items this week because I am frankly so exhausted that you don't want to see what I look like...it's not so cute. I can tell you this sweatshirt runs true to size so I am wearing a small.

2) Barefoot dreams cardigan

I love Barefoot dreams. I discovered them when a friend bought Hockey Guy a Barefoot dreams blanket for a baby gift and I have been hooked every since. There are some really Good deals on Barefoot Dreams during the Nordstrom Sale but I think the Best deal is this cardigan from Barefoot Dreams through QVC. I sometimes have trouble with long, loose cardigans because they look like they are wearing me. I am not sure if it is because I am narrow in the shoulders or because I am not tall or is it a combo meal? This cardigan is amazing because it is all the softness of Barefoot Dreams but in cinches in the back so it is totally slimming. 

You can make the tie in the back as tight or as loose as you would like. I chose the lagoon blue but I really think that for under $90 for Barefoot Dreams I am going to grab one in another color. I have only seen this cardigan through QVC. 

I paired the cardigan with slim black pants, a tee and my Rothy's flats. If you have not tried them Rothy's are amazing. You can wash them, and yes I have successfully washed both pair that I own. 3) Smoothies

Typically when I am working this hard and this much I don't make the Best choices when coming to eating. Which usually means that when I am stressed I don't eat enough and that is not Good. It usually means that I end up getting sick so this time around I am trying to make Better choices. 

The three of us have really be into the fruit smoothies from Bolthouse Farms and Naked Smoothie. I have been trying to choose the lower sugar option when I can. The Bolthouse lower sugar is only 140 calories per bottle and when paired with a lower sugar oatmeal in the morning, it really keeps me filled up for a Good portion of the morning. It's a Good shot of fruits and veggies first thing and so far, while I am really tired, I feel pretty ok health wise despite my current workload.

I have been told that they sell them at Costco too as they can be expensive, and while I could make a smoothie at home, sometimes it is just easier to grab and go in the car. 


4) Bachelorette Best Moment

As I have mentioned, I have watched every season of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette since it started. I am neither embarrassed or proud of that fact...it's just a fact.

This my friends I believe was the Best moment in the entire history of the franchise on Monday night.

When Hannah in that monokini dress picked up that Pier One Grecian rose pillar and moved it away from Luke...it was tv gold. We were screaming in the Good Better Best household. 

It was even Better than Colton's wall jump and you all know how I felt about that. I could watch him jump that wall like 1,000 times.

Even if you are not into the show, you owe it to yourself to watch the first say 20 minutes of Monday night's episode on demand. It's amazing!
