The Blended Blog Asks: Relationships

It's the first Monday of the month so I am linking up with the lovely ladies of The Blended Blog to talk all things love today.

1) Who is Your Oldest Friend/How Did You Meet?

So this one is hard for me because I have so many Good friends I could put on this so here is a list:

Miss D---we met through mutual friends and then I moved into her apartment. It is because I moved into this apartment that I eventually met Running Daddy.
KA--we met because we were both interviewed for the same job and they ended up hiring us both. She might know me as well as Running Daddy and is my total touchstone.
LYY-I have known for over 20 years, and while we live on opposite sides of the country, I probably hear from her once a month...especially when there is Good Hollywood gossip.
DAZ basically taught me everything I know about events, and has always been there for me.

2) Who is Your Circle of Support

In addition to Running Daddy, Miss D and KA, I have a really Good support group. I have so many ladies through school who will always pray for me and provide support. The people at Hockey Guy's school are the real deal. These families love Jesus and love your child like their own.

Last fall I also wrote about the Magnificent Seven and what these ladies mean to me. They are the Best at what they do and totally have my back.

Also, it goes without saying that my family meaning my family and Running Daddy's family is always there for me.

3) How did you meet your partner?

I met Running Daddy at a New Year's Day party. My friend Kelley was a family friend of his but we had never met. The day after the party I told her I thought he was cute. A few days later, without her prompting, he emailed her to ask about me. The three of us went for drinks about a week later and he asked me out later that night. We have basically been together ever since. Fifteen years!

4) How is Valentine's Day celebrated in your home?

We are pretty low key about Valentine's Day. We usually do cards and little gifts in the morning. We all have dinner at home and it is usually something fun like a pasta and then we either have cupcakes for dessert for sometimes I make the gluten free Funfetti cake.

5) What is Your Love Language

I am all about words of encouragement.

6) Do You Prefer Receiving Flowers or Chocolates?

Do I have to choose? If I had to choose then it would be flowers. Luckily I typically get both from my boys.

7) What is The Most Meaningful Gift You Have Ever Been Given?

Probably two gifts from Running Daddy. One is a painting that we saw in Columbus, OH when we were dating. He gave it to me that year for Christmas.

The other gift that means a lot to me is the pearl and diamond pendant that Running Daddy gave me as a wedding gift. He literally gave it to me on the street after our wedding rehearsal. He has the Best taste in jewelry and it is pretty extravagant.

Thus begins the month of love!
