Friday Favorites: Sparkling Wine at Any Price

New Year's Eve is this weekend! So as I link up with ErikaNarci and Andrea for Friday Favorites, I am going to get you all set for sparkling wine at any price point whether you are having a big bash or spending a quiet night with your loves or your girls.

Many people say they don't like champagne and sparkling wine because it gives them a headache. One of the things I have learned is that because the glass needs to be so thick to preserve the bubbles in sparkling wine, and that glass is expensive, that many times the product inside is substandard at many lower price points.  The key to not spending your New Year's Day in Headache City, is a quality product. Quality sparkling wine doesn't always have to come with a hefty price tag. I have everything you need to celebrate without the headache today.

1) Cava

In my Thanksgiving wine post, I mentioned the Dibon Brut Reserve  as one of my favorite cavas and the one that the served at the famous Inn at Perry Cabin. It is a Good choice if you have a crowd over or want something at a lower price point.

2) Sofia brings the party

Having just a few of your ladies over or want to bring something fun to the party? Choose the Sofia Blanc de Blanc minis by Francis Ford Coppola. I have had these on multiple locations and they are just so fun. They even come with a mini straw! You will be bringing the Joy when you walk through the door with this choice.

3) Bon Vivant

If you are looking for a French style sparkle without the prix eleve, Bon Vivant is a Good choice. This has a crisp taste and comes from California. It is also a Wegmans holiday Top Pick for 2017.

4) Pink Bubbles

If you are looking for pink and bubbly, then we have you covered. Remember that I believe the key to a Good rose, with bubbles or without, is the Grenache grape. The Chanson Sparkling Royal Brut Rose would be the Best fit. This pink beauty comes at a price point at around $10 too!

5) Veuve Clicquot Brut

This is one of my favorite champagnes and one that brings me Joy. I don't think I have ever had a bad time while drinking Veuve. This is true champagne, meaning it is from the champagne region in France...every other sparkling from anywhere else is known as sparkling wine. Veuve is smooth with a hint of vanilla. I truly think that Veuve is the Best splurge at a Good price point. Just do me a favor, never add orange juice to this gem. I saw someone do this at a brunch in my 20's and almost passed out!

Intro

So these are my favorite sparkling wines to get you ready on this last Friday of 2017. I want to take a moment to thank all of you who stop your day and read Good Better Best. I have put a lot of time and passion into this site in 2017 and this site has grown in a way that I could never imagine. I have had wonderful opportunities this year to work with brands and take this site in a new direction. I have even been in business meetings for my day job where people will stop and say, "I love your blog." Thank you to all who read, who comment and encourage me along the way.

I have a lot of change coming my way in 2018, but I am encouraged by the future thanks to the confidence I now have from this site. Confidence that has come from your support.

Here's to the Best 2018! Cheers! Salute'!
