What's Up Wednesday-March 2020

Hey Besties. Everyone doing Good? I know these are stressful time with COVID-19, working from home, social distancing and potential home schooling for the balance of the year. I am definitely needing to spend time on this site, to keep my mind occupied, connect with you and also find a little Joy. How about you?

It's the last Wednesday of the month and I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday. This is going to be an interesting one and a little long, so settle in for a little distraction.

What We're Eating This Week

With us all being home, we are focusing on eating healthy. For lunch we are keeping it to sandwiches or a grilled cheese with fruit.

For dinner:

Monday-Sausage and polenta which always seems to be in the rotation when I do What's Up Wednesday. It is so easy and so Good. We all love it.

Tuesday-It's the Great American Take Out

We are trying to support local businesses and restaurants as much as we can during this time. We are supporting a local sports pub this night that is connected to one of our school families. Takeout only right now, but they have a full menu and lots of gluten free options.

What I am Doing During the Corona Virus Including Shopping for a Cause

I hope everyone is well and that your friends and family are safe during this very odd and kind of scary time. I am going to keep blogging during the crisis because I think we all need it, especially me. Here is what I am trying to do to get through the Corona virus and also do my part. It boils down to work, school work and keeping the economy going especially small businesses.

Work/School Work

Lucking Running Daddy and I can work pretty easily from home. The one thing I thought I couldn't do at home, our IT department took care of late last week.

Since I already work at home a couple times per month here are ideas of how to work more successfully at home:

-Get up at the same time you normally would or even earlier to get some work done.
-Shower and get dressed.
-Try to find a Good place to work. We have it broken up into three locations: Running Daddy in the home office, Hockey Guy in the family room downstairs and I am in the living room.

Friday Favorites: Good Hand Sanitizer, Best black pants, 1% Challenge, Best Cookies and S'More Bites

March.

Hey Besties! I know things are a little scary right now with this whole Corona virus thing but let's take a moment to just have a few shreds of normalcy. I am still taking a moment to talk about the things that are bringing me Joy this week and linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what brings me Joy this week for Friday Favorites. So wash your hands, pour your favorite beverage and take a moment for Joy.

1) The 1% Challenge

When we were getting ready for Lent, Hockey Guy told me about the 1% Challenge and recommended that I try it. They are doing it in school and it is just a really Good way to add God's word into your day.

Basically, 1% of your day is only 15 minutes so you pledge to spend 1% of your day focusing on your faith. You can read the Bible, pray, listen to the rosary...you get the point. It doesn't have to do 15 minutes all at one time, you can break it up.

Friday Favorites: Cold Remedies, Cargo Pants, Good Tea

Hey Besties! I am so ready to exhale this weekend. It's been a crazy couple of weeks in the Good Better Best household and I am looking forward to a slower pace over the weekend.

I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to share what brings me Joy this week for Friday Favorites.

1) Mucinex Max Cold

Maximum Strength Mucinex® Fast-Max® Day Severe Cold & Night Cold & Flu Caplets, 30ct

For the last week, I have had a straight up, old fashioned, really bad headcold. I rarely get colds, I usually skip the cold and head straight to a sinus infection, bronchitis or even walking pneumonia. This time, it's just a really bad cold.
