Big week in our house as not only did Hockey Guy start school, he started his last year at his school. He has been at this school for eight years, so this is a big year. This week really flew by, thankfully, and I am linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to chat about the things that are bringing me Joy this week.

1) C.O.F.F.E.E.

We always have coffee on the first day of school after the kids go to their classrooms. Now that I have a middle schooler I have been banned from walking him to class on the first day. Hey, that's ok that just means the Running Daddy gets the pick of the Krispy Kreme donuts.

Gratitude in the Lasts

It's the last Thursday of August so I am linking up with my girl Holly to talk Thankful Thursdays. Today I am talking finding Gratitude in the Lasts.

This is Hockey Guy's last year at his school. He has been at this same school since he was a five year old with a buzz cut. Now he is a full blown teenager who is learning how to properly check on the hockey ice. Last spring I didn't know how I would feel at this point. I thought I would be really sad heading into all the last firsts and all the lasts lasts. What is surprising is that I have all the feels, but not true sadness.

What's Up Wednesday--August 2019

Oh August, you are such an eventful month filled with work, vacations, birthdays and the start of school.  It is the last Wednesday of August, I am linking up with Shay and Sheaffer for What's Up Wednesday! Let's dig into all things August Besties!

What We Are Eating This Week

Since it is the first week of August, I am meal planning and prepping like a boss. I have always been Good about the planning part, it's the prepping that I could be Better at. It truly is amazing how helpful it is to have that squash already cut and ready to go when you get home after a long day. So here is what I have on the menu this week.

After a dreamlike vacation to Hilton Head, we are starting to get back into the swing of things. I was a little absent from this site this month due to vacation and frankly getting ready for vacation personally and professionally, Today I am back and linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to chat about the things that are bringing me Joy this week.

1) Taco Meatballs

If you are about to go back to school, school is in or you are just in general trying to figure out what to make for dinner, I give you these taco meatballs. They are healthy, yummy and you can get these on the table in no time flat. The Best part??? You might even have all of the ingredients on hand.

Good Better Best Taco Meatballs

Yes, you heard me correctly...taco meatballs. What could be Better than a combo of a taco and a meatball? Do you want to know the Best part? You can pull this together in less than 30 minutes. Honestly, probably closer to around 20 minutes if you are really Good. Honestly, the other night Hockey Guy and I came home from math tutoring at 7:45p.m. and I had these on the table at 8:15 p.m. That speedy prep time included my chatting with Running Daddy and asking him oh so nicely to move away from the open refrigerator door so that I could get in there and get the ingredients.

Oh August, a month with so much movement, activity and change. At times I thought you would never get here, but here you are. It's Friday and linking up with ErikaAndreaNarci to chat about the things that are bringing me Joy this week.

1) Barre3

I am not going to lie to you, I am still struggling with my ankle injury eleven...yes eleven weeks after my injury. I am still in physical therapy and had a cortisone shot last week. Since I am climbing the walls...my doctor and my physical therapist/friend told me that I could go back to Barre3 with modifications this week. Honestly, I did pretty well and all things just felt Better being there. I was in no way at the level I was at pre-injury, but I just love the support and strength I feel after those classes. I hate to exercise which may come as a surprise to some of you. Barre3 is the only workouts I have stayed with over the years. Looking forward to keeping up with it.

Thankful Thursdays--Summer July in August Edition

This post and link up was supposed to be last week and therefore the very first thing I am thankful for is my blogging partner Holly who is so darn patient with me. Holly is always patient when I email her and I am like...oh wait...tomorrow is the last day of July and I totally spaced even though I am the one that wrote the schedule for this year. She just rolls with me...I am usually so on top of things but this month has been a lot. Sigh. Now that I got that off my chest I am ready to talk about summer and all of the things I am thankful for in July...even though it is technically August.
