What I Am Reminiscing About

With the New England Patriots being in the Super Bowl again this year I am reminiscing about the following:

-How horrible they were while I was growing up

-That time I was at the Super Bowl in 2002 when a young quarterback named Tom Brady took the Pats to their first Super Bowl win in over time.

-And who can forget last year

Sure I am a Pats fan, but I am really a Brady fan...and a Gisele fan. I pretty much think they are awesome.

All things Moroccan Oil for my hair.

I am also loving this shampoo and conditioner from OGX. It is at a really Good every day price point.  Even Hockey Guy has commented on how Good it makes his hair.

I am also loving the quieter times of January. I love the holidays and the lead up but the calmness of January can be so Good for our sole.

I also went back to Barre 3 this weekend and I just love it so. I was on a three month hiatus due to life getting in the way and then a little knee pain. Knee pain was triggered by too much life in my way.

What We Have Been Up To

We are right smack in the middle of hockey season, so we have been spending a lot of time at the rink and in the car.

We have also been having some family movie nights. Hockey Guy is at a really Good age where we can watch some fun movies. We watched Sully and My Big Fat Greek Wedding over the long weekend.

What I am Dreading

I am in the process of organizing our home office. I dread the work I need to do in there, but I need to do it. It will be Good to have things more organized and have a Better set up.

What I am Working On

I am working on a lot, and something potentially really big. It is something that is hard but also exciting. Hopefully I will have something to share with you all soon.

What I am Excited About

I am excited about some new potential opportunities coming my way. These could be very Good for our family and also really Good for me.

What I am Watching/Reading

I am re-reading Jamie Ivey's book If You Only Knew because I am honored to be part of her launch team. Her book came out this week and I will have book review very soon. Here's what I can tell you, if you are a fan of Jamie's podcast, her realness and her warmth come through on the pages. I teared up many times reading this book and while my story isn't anything like hers, we all have our stories. Our stories matter and our stories help others. One of the things I loved in the book was when I got to the end and there is a chapter called Jesus is Better. I mean is that a book for this blog or what?

The Bachelor

As always, I am watching The Bachelor as I have since the show first aired. This season is especially Good so I have started a weekly recap. You can check out last week's recap here and I hope to have the recap of the latest episode up tomorrow, so be sure to look for that.

Big Little Lies

Ok, I know Big Little Lies was soooo 2017, but we didn't watch it last year. We now have free HBO and I have to tell you, Running Daddy and I are totally addicted. We are watching when we can, I think we are on episode 6. We have all kinds of theories on what will happen and who might do it, but we honestly we don't know the ending. We talk about this show all the time. We get it, it is so Good.

What I am Listening To

All my same pod casts. If you like Jamie Ivey, her episode with Candace Cameron Bure was such a treat and her new feature "If you only knew" is so Good.

Speaking of Good, I am so loving this new song by Luke Bryan.

What I am Wearing

This outfit featuring velvet skinny jeans from Loft is one of my favorites from this month. I bought these skinny jeans in both the pink shown below and also the grey.

What I am Looking Forward to Next Month

I am looking forward to a little Valentine's Day fun. I am also looking forward to some really great meetings for my next adventure. Mostly I am just looking forward to some more fun with my boys, two legged and four legged.

What Else is New

One thing that I have really been working on this month is gratitude journaling. I try to write down every day, five things I am grateful for. They can be big things like Good health news or little things like having a peppermint mocha. It's a really awesome practice and something I am finding really helpful right now.

Bonus question: Favorite soup

Ok, this is an easy one. I have my classic favorite and a new one that I made up this month and posted a few weeks ago. Both are hits and filled with really Good nutrients.

The Classic-Butternut Squash and Pear Soup

This is the Best soup I make...period. It is healthy, fairly easy  and totally impressive. Recipe is here.

New Soup in Town

This sausage and white bean soup was a huge hit, especially with Running Daddy. This is super healthy and what makes it even Better is that you can put it in the slow cooker while you are at work or out and about on the weekend. Find out how to make this soup on this post here.

So this literally wraps up January. It has been a Good month and year so far and I cannot wait to see what January brings. How is your January so far?

    1. Thanks girl. We were in a little bit of a dinner rut so I mixed things up this week. The shrimp was so Good and literally took about 10 minutes to make including cook time.

      Go Pats!
