Friday Favorites: Red Sox #34, Chik-Fil-A, School Family, Sound of Music

Today I am linking up with ErikaNarci , Andrea and Amandafor Friday favorites and sharing with you the things that I am finding Joy in this week.

1) #34 Retired:

All you Yankee fans might just want to skip right over this first thing that brings me Joy...because it is #34 David Ortiz and the fact that the Red Sox retired his number late last week. I have been a Red Sox fan my entire life...like my entire life...long before 2004. I loved the Red Sox when I was little which was frustrating, I loved them in high school which brought us a heartbreak of a World Series. I loved them in the nineties which at times was just pathetic, and I even loved them in Game 7 of the playoffs in 2003 when I was sitting in Yankee Stadium when everything fell apart.

Then everything changed...and it changed a lot in part to this guy, David Ortiz #34.

What's Up Wednesday: June 2017

Linking with MelShaeffer, and Shay to share What's Up Wednesday! Here's what's up in June.

What We're Eating This Week:

This is a busy week with Running Daddy at his marathon training, a lupus treatment, a meeting for our fall 5K race that we help chair for Hockey Guy's school and oh yeah...getting ready for vacation. Our dinners are going to be easy and I am also working on using things up in the fridge before we head out.

Show and Tell Tuesday: Home (Renovation)Tour

Show and Tell Tuesday Graphic 2017

I have decided to link up again with Andrea from MomFessionals who hosts a link up where we show and tell you something. This week the topic is our home tour.

So our home tour...is a challenge because since mid-January we have been undergoing a major renovation with I would guess probably 60% of our house, if not more, getting an extreme home makeover. Seriously, while we are not putting on an addition, we went down to the studs in several rooms and moved walls in others. The contractors are putting the finishing touches on the basement this week and then they will be finished with the inside. We are also covering our and re-doing back patio and that project should start soon.

So  here is the deal, while others in this link up will have lots of pretty photos of their houses, I will not be doing that as I do my Best to hide my crazy. Literally, everything is everywhere at the moment and seriously, you don't want to see what our home office, laundry room or garage looks like at the moment. It is not Good

Good Better Best Home Renovation Part 3:Bathroom Disco Mirrors and The Avalanche

Today as the third installment in my home renovation series, I am sharing our Good Better Best bathroom renovation.

When we moved into our house, I was seven and a half months pregnant and frankly the bathrooms were fine. The one that is actually in our basement was the nicer of the two but the one upstairs was in fine condition and had probably been updated a few years before that. The walls were white and there was an interesting wallpaper board that had a raised velvet texture that was not exactly my taste. The flooring was really never Good as the tile had many groves in it, which is perfect for allowing the dirt to settle and very hard to clean. There would some changes that should be made, but for the time being, things were Good.

Friday Favorites-World of Dance, Perfect Outfit, My Girl, More Cute Shoes

Today I am linking up with ErikaNarci , AndreaAmandaBright on a BudgetDella DevotedCup of Tea and By BMG for Friday favorites and sharing with you the things that I am finding Joy in this week.

I am really lightening things up today on my Friday Favorites. I went pretty deep earlier in the week with my first Show & Tell piece on my struggle with lupus and with the shootings in the Washington, D.C. area this week, I need to keep things really light for this Friday Favorites.

1) World of Dance:

If you are not watching World of Dance on NBC, you need to...like stop what  you are doing and go watch it on demand. It is one of the Best shows I have seen in a long time. The dancing, the fast pace, the judges and who just doesn't want to hang out with J-Lo and Jenna Dewan Tatum?

This show is so Good that even Hockey Guy is really into it. The dancers are such amazing athletes, you cannot take your eyes off of them. I can't wait to see how this show develops. The minute you finish reading this post, pour your favorite beverage and get caught up on this show if you are not already watching. You will thank me.

Show & Tell Tuesday: The Struggle is Real--Lupus

Show and Tell Tuesday Graphic 2017

Twice a month, Andrea from MomFessionals hosts a link up where we show and tell you something. This is my first one and today's topic is The Struggle is Real.

If you are new to Good Better Best, you might not know my struggle. The truth is I have Lupus and Sjogren's disease which are both autoimmune diseases. Most people have heard of Lupus, but probably couldn't tell you what it is...unless they watched House.

Friday Favorites: This is Us, Loft Sale, Rose, Graduations, Work Different and Lax

Today I am linking up with ErikaNarci , AndreaAmandaBright on a BudgetDella DevotedCup of Tea and By BMG for Friday favorites and sharing with you the things that I am finding Joy in this week.

1) Graduation photos:

Keep in mind that I do not have anyone graduating from anything at the moment, but I am finding great Joy in seeing all of my friends photos on Facebook, especially the kids heading on to high school from our school. How can the "big kids" who were in third grade when we started at our school be going to high school already? I love seeing the Joy that is overflowing from both the kids and the parents. So many of these families are so special in my heart. I have such Joy watching as as they get ready for their next adventure, some of which are even including college.
